The Bible is God’s perfect guidebook for living.  It declares his design and plan for all mankind.  It is  our guide for living life and the standard by which we measure our behavior.  Every word in the Bible is God's Word for us today.  It is completely accurate in all that it affirms.   It is powerful because when the Bible speaks, God speaks. 

A  rock collector named Rob liked to hunt for rocks.  While on a dig in 1967, Rob found a rock that he described as “pretty” and “big.”  He tried to sell it for $500 but when that failed he placed the rock in a closet and left it there.  Through a turn of events, some twenty years later, Rob found out that the rock he had tried to sell for a few hundred dollars was in fact the largest and most valuable sapphire ever found.  Today that rock, which weighs nearly a pound, is known as “The Star of David Sapphire” and is valued at almost three million dollars.  For twenty years Rob didn’t realize what he had.

Similarly, there are many people today who don't realize how valuable the Bible is.  They don’t realize what it can do for their life.  God's Word has the power to change your life.
