No doubt about it, the most significant question to ever penetrate the human mind is that of the existence of God. In fact, Humanity hinges on the affirmation of God’s existence more than any other issue. And unlike other religions, the evidence for God is vast.
Before we can arrive at any conclusions about the existence of God, we must first examine the evidence. It is similar to the role of a Jury during a court case. Before a judgment can be given, a panel of jurors are carefully selected and charged with the responsibility of weighing all the evidence in a case. Then they must render a verdict based on the evidence.
For the prosecution to be successful they must be able to prove their case and convince the Jury beyond a reasonable doubt. Interestingly, the judge never asks the prosecution to prove their case beyond a shadow of a doubt. Why? To expect the prosecution to present enough evidence in a trial to convince all the jurors beyond a shadow of a doubt is deemed in our judicial system to be an unrealistic expectation." ...more... 1 2 3 4 5 |
