Science has failed to explain the ultimate question of human existence.  It told us how we came to be, but not why we came to be.  All our technological advances have failed to add real meaning and purpose to our lives. 
 
There has to be more to this life.  Most people are unsatisfied with just happily existing; they long to live a life of significance.  They long to make an impact with their lives and somehow leave behind a legacy that will outlast them.  
William Wallace, the Scottish Revolutionary who became known as the liberator of Scotland in the 1300’s, wasn’t content with meaningless existence.  He was willing to die for a legacy that outlasted him.  While awaiting his execution, Wallace made a statement that communicates one of the deepest truths of human existence:  “Every man dies.  Not every man really lives.” 

 
When you really think about it, the greatest tragedy in life is not death.  We all know we’re going to die.  The greatest tragedy is a wasted life: to grow old and die, having never lived.  ...more...
